Sunday in SPS
Sunday 3/6/16
Everyone slept well after a long day on Saturday. We had breakfast together and off to the Mennonite church. It's amazing how much spirit is in that church! It is loud and exuberant and even though you don't speak the language it is meaningful just experiencing it. After church the congregation treated us to a fellowship meal. We reunited with many of the friends we met last summer after MWC. After lunch we went to visit the Alfa y Omega orphanage and found out that Bob is a regular rock star there. The kids just mobbed him and greeted us all very warmly. A very nice visit and ideas for ways to help them in the future. We got to see the work from the February crew and it still smelled like fresh paint and still looked fresh and beautiful. It was too muddy to visit the pigs they are raising. After that we went back to the hotel to get our bags packed and eat yet another delicious meal from Aurora. Tomorrow we start! For the team. Karen
