Day Five

Today we went about an hour away to a community in the mountains. We set up in a school and a mennonite church. The de-worming and waiting room were in the church and the nurses and pharmacy in the school. Today we saw many school children. There was one young man who came in a wheelchair. We held prayer for him and got him up and helped him to walk. Soon he was taking a few steps by himself. There were tears all around. This was a very large community and they cleaned us out of all we brought for today. We are all tired, but feel that today was a very productive day. The cement team went out to do more houses in Pastor JuanĀ“s community. Please continue to pray for us that we will be able to accomplish all that we came to do, and that we will all stay healthy.

For the team, Hannah

The above is from Kendall saying hi to her Mom-Mom and Aunt Helen. Can you tell she typed it all by herself?! What a great idea, Sara! Hope you all are doing well. Kendall misses you both so much. She almost has two new teeth and can't wait to see you Tuesday morning. She had a great week with her friends Debbie and Anne but has just been shaking her head "NO!" at the presentation of any kind of lunch for the last two days. She misses you two so much and can't wait to give you hugs and kisses. Keep up the good work there and have a safe trip home everyone. Can't wait to see you Tues!

hi MAMA team I hope everything is going well. It sounds that you are all kept busy. It was cold this week but supposed to warm up next week. Helen will be glad to know that a sheep had FOUR lambs-but only one survived. Have fun at Cupun tomorrow. Miss you, Jack

Hey Hannah and Team,
I'm so excited to be hearing about your work on a day to day basis. It sounds like you're really touching people down there...We miss you all and are continually praying for a safe trip. I'm jealous about the weather you're having, although it is getting warmer up here (maybe in the 50's today). Hope all continues to go well!
Love, Sarah Detweiler
